The Usage Limit tab shows how much of your current subscription plan you have used. It helps admins monitor plan limits, track remaining capacity, and decide when it may be time to upgrade.
Use this tab to check limits for plan-based features such as contacts, agents, templates, API requests, chatbots, automation, and other subscription-controlled resources.
📍 Where to Find Usage Limits #
Go to:
Admin Settings → Account Settings → Usage Limit
The Usage Limit tab is available from the same Account Settings page as Company Profile, Agent Permissions, and Subscription Plans.
🧾 What the Usage Limit Tab Shows #
At the top of the tab, you will see your current plan name.
Example:
Current Plan: Pro
Below that, the page shows a Usage Overview list.
Each item represents one feature or resource controlled by your subscription plan.
For each feature, you can see:
- 📌 Feature name
- 🏷️ Usage scope
- 🔢 Used count
- 📏 Plan limit
- ✅ Remaining amount
- 📊 Usage progress bar
📌 Feature Name #
The feature name tells you which part of the system is being measured.
Examples may include:
- Contacts
- Contact groups
- Contact types
- Agents
- Admin users
- Monthly API requests
- Monthly template sends
- Auto replies
- Chatbots
- AI assistants
- Conversation history
- Integration-related limits
The exact list depends on the features included in your subscription plan.
🏷️ Usage Scope #
Each usage item has a scope badge.
The scope explains whether the limit is counted forever or within a specific month.
♾️ Lifetime #
A Lifetime scope means the usage is counted as a total number.
Example:
- Total contacts
- Total agents
- Total chatbots
- Total auto replies
If the limit is lifetime-based, the count does not reset monthly.
📅 Month: YYYY-MM #
A monthly scope means usage is counted for a specific month.
Example:
Month: 2026-05
Monthly limits may apply to items such as:
- API requests
- Template sends
- Monthly usage counters
These counters are normally tracked by month.
🔢 Used Count #
Each item shows how much has already been used.
Example:
Used: 350 of 1,000
This means your company has used 350 units out of a plan limit of 1,000.
📏 Display Limit #
The limit shows the maximum amount allowed by your current subscription plan.
The limit may show as:
- A number, such as 1,000
- Unlimited
If the feature is unlimited, the system does not calculate a remaining numeric limit.
✅ Remaining Amount #
For limited features, the tab shows how much is still available.
Example:
650 remaining
This helps you quickly understand how much capacity is left before reaching the plan limit.
If the feature is unlimited, the badge shows:
Unlimited
♾️ Unlimited Features #
Some plans include unlimited usage for specific features.
When a feature is unlimited, the Usage Limit tab shows:
- A green Unlimited badge
- An infinity icon
- A full animated progress bar
This means there is no numeric cap for that feature under your current plan.
📊 Progress Bar Meaning #
Each limited feature includes a progress bar showing the percentage used.
The percentage is calculated from:
Used count ÷ Plan limit
Example:
If you used 500 out of 1,000, the progress bar shows 50%.
🟢 Usage Colors #
The progress bar changes color based on usage level.
🟢 Green #
Usage is below 50%.
This means you still have good remaining capacity.
🟡 Yellow #
Usage is 50% or higher.
This means the feature is being used actively and should be monitored.
🔴 Red #
Usage is 90% or higher.
This means you are close to the plan limit and may need to reduce usage or upgrade.
🚨 What Happens When You Reach a Limit #
When a feature reaches its subscription limit, the related action may become restricted depending on the feature.
For example, you may not be able to:
- Add more contacts
- Create more chatbots
- Add more agents
- Send more monthly template messages
- Use more API requests
- Create additional automation items
The exact restriction depends on the feature and how the plan limit is enforced in that module.
⬆️ When to Upgrade #
Consider upgrading your plan when:
- A progress bar is red.
- You have very little remaining capacity.
- Your monthly usage is growing.
- You need more contacts, agents, messages, or automation features.
- A downgrade is blocked because your usage exceeds the lower plan.
- You frequently reach usage limits before the end of the month.
🔎 Common Issues #
❓ I Do Not See Any Usage Items #
Possible reasons:
- Usage data has not been generated yet.
- Your company has no tracked usage for the current plan.
- The usage query did not return available records.
- Your account may not have access to subscription usage information.
🔴 A Feature Shows 100% #
This means the used count has reached the plan limit.
Review that feature and either:
- Remove unused records if possible.
- Wait for the monthly counters to reset, if it is a monthly feature.
- Upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.
♾️ Why Does a Feature Show Unlimited? #
Your current plan does not have a numeric limit for that feature.
Unlimited features are shown with an infinity icon and do not display remaining counts.
📅 Why Does One Feature Show Lifetime and another show month? #
Different features are measured differently.
- Lifetime means total stored usage.
- Month: YYYY-MM means usage for a specific month.
🧠 Best Practices #
- ✅ Check Usage Limit before launching large campaigns.
- 📊 Monitor red and yellow progress bars regularly.
- 🧹 Clean up unused records before downgrading.
- 📅 Watch monthly counters near the end of each billing cycle.
- ⬆️ Upgrade before critical business workflows hit their limit.
- 🔐 Give billing or admin users access to review usage.
- 📌 Review Usage Limit before adding more agents, contacts, chatbots, or automations.
